THE LAST FORT FIGHTING - FORT TROYON

Fort de Troyon it was built after the Franco-Prussian War from 1877 as a barrier fort it was made of limestone masonry. But it had an amazing feature of an amazing mortar ravelin It was then reinforced before WW1 but as we know it was not enough to withstand the German heavy shells. And shelled it was. Still not passable as the area is covered with unexplored shells. So of course Roger Cook and I had to visit it and show you.
