Birding in Colorado? The Pawnee National Grassland is WORTH the Drive!
I'm out in a pretty rural part of northeastern Colorado during peak Spring Migration at one of the best birding spots in the country. It's the Pawnee National Grassland, and there's some specialty species you can find here that are hard to find anywhere else. On this trip, we start at the Crow Valley campground bird walk and then spend the second half of the day on the 21 mile Bird Drive. The weather wasn't great but we pulled out some amazing species on the day!
