Phalaenopsis opens the summer season! - cornu-cervi var. chattaladae

Today we take a look at a new bloomer once again and this time it's not a Cattleya type ;) ▼▼▼More info bellow!▼▼▼ More info about the cornu-cervi here http://www.orchidspecies.com/phalcoru... This is a species Phalaenopsis which produces gorgeous, tiny dark red blooms with a waxy texture. Unlike the complex hybrids, the season for flowering is the warm summer. The flower is very tiny but opens flat and the dark sepals and petals make a great contrast with the white lip. There is no fragrance on mine sadly, but the thought of multiple spikes with blooms is really exciting!
