After Vida grabbed her plane in Idaho Falls, it seemed a sharp idea to make a short visit at Dirty Rat Cycles in Salt Lake City and offer a little maintenance to the old Mule. But, as always it seems, there were great deals on good parts (which of course made for more work) accompanied by the fascinating strangeness tied to the entire experience of that unique place. Along with a walk through the “fascinating strangeness” of Dirty Rat, in this video I’ll share what knowledge I have about HD primary compensators, how they work, and the repair of them. And although we’re dealing with older Harleys here, HD compensator all work pretty much the same and I believe this tutorial will grant anyone interested a working knowledge of the damn things, and a greater ability to deal with thier own when necessary.
