Poker Run 2026, part 1
Theodors travels motovlog. Taking part of the annual Poker Run, hosted by Hells Angels MC (HAMC) Estonian chapter. I have split the event in to two videos, not to make one too long. In this part I will go through the first two checkpoints - cafeteria Arturi juures and Peetri mansion. Poker Run is an organized event in which participants, ride their motorcycles between five designated points, picking a card from the deck in each point. In the end the one with the best poker hand wins. Poker runs usually require a fee to enter and the winner may be awarded with monetary or other kind of material prize. The riding part can be set up as either with everyone riding together as a group, between the points, or as in the case in this video, every checkpoint is open set amount of time and everyone can ride individually or in smaller groups. There is a possibility of navigating being part of the challenge, however the one HAMC Estonian chapter hosts is usually with set route, following which provides the best riding experience. However no one is forced on to that route and everyone can choose which way they ride. Points are open long enough that the whole route can be completed without breaking any traffic laws, even when starting when the first point is about to close. The Hells Angels Motorcycle Club (HAMC) is an international motorcycle club founded in California whose members typically ride Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Common nicknames for the club are the "H.A.", "Red & White", and "81". With a membership of over 6000, in over 60 countries, the HAMC is the one of the largest biker clubs in the world. They have had a chapter in Estonia since 2011. Church of St. John in Suure Jaani was founded before 1300 as one of the oldest stone temples in the province of Viljandi. Currently it is used by Suure-Jaani Lutherian congregation. The Honda Valkyrie is a motorcycle that was manufactured by Honda from 1997 to 2003. It was designated GL1500C in the US market and F6C ("Flat Six Custom") in other markets. The Valkyrie engine is a 1520cc (93 cu in) liquid-cooled, horizontally opposed (boxer) flat-six engine shared with 4'th generation Honda Gold Wing. The engine is not exact copy of Gold Wings one however, most notable engine changes being the camshaft, use of solid lifters (instead of hydraulic lifters) and the change to six individual 28 mm carburetors, one for each cylinder, changes which increased power and torque. The Valkyrie was made in the United States at the Honda motorcycle plant in Marysville, Ohio. My Valkyrie started it's journey in Florida, USA, where it had one owner and was sold after some accident. After being imported to Estonia and repaired, it passed technical inspection without fault and mileage change from registration end in USA, to registering in Estonia is only few miles, so all records of it's history, which I have been able to obtain, seem to be consistent. The current mileage shown on the odometer is about 2000km (~1240 miles) smaller from reality though, as I had the speedometer cable snap, during my trip to Romania. That is also mentioned in the video series "2022 Romania and Romans secret, expedition" which you can see on my channel. Helmet camera used in this video is DJI Osmo Action 5, which I purchased just after the Osmo Action 6 was released. Osmo Action 5 Pro were released on September 19, 2024. It comes with 47GB internal storage, supports HLG, and is dive-rated to 20m underwater with a new depth/altitude gauge feature. Reason for choosing this camera, instead of the newer model, was the fact that this one has no moving parts, while Osmo Action 6 comes with adjustable aperture, which I fear could be a weak point on action camera. Even though there are no significant vibrations, while the camera is on the helmet, and I should not worry about this element on motovlogging context, I occasionally use my action camera elsewhere and even lend it out to some trusted friends. Off bike footage is taken with Huawei P30 pro, which is an Android-based smartphone, featuring three rear-facing camera lenses with Leica optics: 40-megapixel lens, 20-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and 8-megapixel periscope lens with 5× optical zoom. 00:00 Season forecast 00:38 Journey is just starting 02:11 Sightings on the way 04:39 Suure-Jaani 05:52 Suure-Jaani church 06:23 First card 06:40 Trouble with staying on route 08:00 Interlude 08:35 Trying to find the correct route 11:30 Signs again 11:45 Peetri mansion 12:25 Second card 12:30 No signs again
