Public Lecture by the EU Ambassador to Australia, H.E Mr Gabriele Visentin

To launch the Adelaide University Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for Digital Transformations, the EU Ambassador to Australia, H.E Gabriele Visentin, will deliver an insightful address that explores how Europe and Australia are connecting continents through partnership, not proximity. Across vast distances, the EU and Australia are turning shared values and common ambition into closer political, economic, and people-to-people ties. What was once limited by geography is now shaped by cooperation—linking markets, innovation, research and strategic outlooks between Europe and the Indo-Pacific. This growing partnership shows how like-minded actors can bridge continents, strengthen resilience, and work together to create a more open, sustainable, inclusive and stable global future.
