Você ronca? Seu cérebro pode estar sofrendo enquanto você dorme
Do you snore every night? Or do you know someone who snores loudly and seems to "stop breathing" while sleeping? Although many people treat snoring as something harmless—or even a joke—it can be one of the main signs of obstructive sleep apnea, a condition that affects much more than just the quality of rest. Apnea causes breathing to be interrupted repeatedly during the night. With each pause, the brain needs to "wake up" so you can breathe again. The result is fragmented sleep, a drop in oxygen levels, and continuous stress on the body. Over the years, this process can significantly increase the risk of: • High blood pressure; • Heart attack and cardiac arrhythmias; • Stroke; • Memory loss and difficulty concentrating; • Cognitive decline and dementia. The good news is that apnea has effective diagnosis and treatment. If you frequently snore, wake up tired, feel very sleepy during the day, or have high blood pressure that is difficult to control, it's worth talking to your doctor and investigating. In this video, I explain what happens in your body during each episode of sleep apnea, why this condition can compromise the heart and brain over the years, and what the main warning signs are. Watch until the end and share this content with someone who snores. In many cases, recognizing the symptoms early can make all the difference. 📍 Office in São Paulo – WhatsApp: +55 (11) 99276-7667 📲 Instagram: @ppmelo ⚠️ This video is for educational and informational purposes only.
