Hanoverton is a Village in Columbiana County, Ohio. Hanoverton was laid out in 1813 by Quaker Abolitionist James Craig, and incorporated as a Village in1836. Hanoverton Inn was an essential part of the Underground Railroad. Spread Eagle Tavern was built in 1837. The Tavern and Inn is still in business. The restaurant has great food. Hanoverton is like walking back in time, to a charming New England Town. With so much history it is around every corner.
