PC2: Write to Include: Best Practices for Accessible & Inclusive Survey Questions

Surveys can implicitly exclude participants even before they begin, through confusing language, biased assumptions, or inaccessible question design. In this session, we’ll cover concrete strategies for writing survey questions that are inclusive, understandable, and accessible to respondents with diverse identities, backgrounds, and abilities. Participants will leave with actionable guidance on language, structure, and question formatting that improves equity in response rates and data quality.
