Bairro Capão Raso VISTA DE CIMA !

In this video, we'll learn a bit about the history of the traditional Capão Raso neighborhood, located in the southern region of Curitiba. The name "Capão Raso" originates from the region's natural characteristics, which in the 19th century was known as "Campos de Capão Raso," an area formed by small patches of forest surrounded by open fields. The word "capão" comes from Tupi and means small forest or isolated thicket. The neighborhood's development is directly linked to the history of Italian immigrants Antônio and Catharina Gasparin. Owners of a large farm in the region, they and their 14 children participated in the construction of the macadam road that connected Curitiba to São José dos Pinhais. For this reason, the locality was known for many years as "Fim do Macadame" (End of the Macadam). Over the decades, Capão Raso grew and transformed into one of Curitiba's most important neighborhoods, standing out for its strong commercial activity, easy access to public transportation, and excellent urban infrastructure. Currently, the neighborhood is home to thousands of residents and important landmarks of the capital of Paraná. 👍 Did you like the video?
