Dr Besigye wins first round as state withdraws application to conceal witnesses in the Treason trial
The State reasoned that continued hearing of an application for witness protection delays the main trial. Under the application, the state had sought concealment of six witnesses set to testify against Dr. Kiiza Besigye The application to withdraw was allowed with no costs awarded to defense.
