This Hokkaido road trip took me to Engaru Town. My first plan was to get some soft-serve ice cream at a roadside station, but for some reason, the food court was closed. So, I thought I'd start with a zipline ride, but that was also closed. My plans were completely ruined, and I was at a loss, but I decided to at least get some soft-serve ice cream to calm myself down, so I drove on. After lunch, I climbed Kanbo-iwa rock to enjoy the scenery for a while, then walked through the almost withered cosmos garden to Engaru Station and Engaru Shrine. I thought I saw a white figure beyond the torii gate, but I told myself I must have been mistaken. In the evening, I overcame the difficult parking lot and enjoyed some pancakes. Incidentally, the final "What?" was an attempt to imitate the protagonist of the game Yakuza. Today's Solitary Gourmet included soft-serve ice cream at Nordic Farm Engaru Main Store, the Himalaya Set at Soup Curry & Nepalese Curry Pokhara Dining Engaru, and red bean and black honey pancakes at Hidamari Light Meal Cafe.
