IKA RW20 Digital Repair
Repairing a damaged IKA RW20 Digital Overhead Stirrer. This unit had been exposed to a corrosive atmosphere seizing the speed control mechanism. In addition to that damage, operators had put a pair if channel locks on the control knob stripping it and damaging the motor carrier tray. To service a stock unit you will need a T10 driver for the three outer screws, a 2.5mm hex driver to remove the chuck, a 1mm (or maybe 1.5mm) hex to loosen the spindle set screw, a flat bladed screw driver to pressing and prying, and a T15 Bit or driver for removing the motor screws. In addition some emery paper, a hammer, a small block of wood, and some white lithium grease are all helpful for the overhaul. You can find the parts list (and diagram) at the following link: http://www.ika.com/ika/product_art/sp...
