The Clash - Train In Vain Bass Cover With 'Correct' TAB (Original Bass Track Removed)
I've seen a lot of discussion about how this is played. I learned this by isolating the bass line from the original track, and yes, he did play E-G-D on that little run up, and the G and D were probably 'hammer-ons'. Watch out for the small change around 1min 39 that lasts for a few bars. I have removed the original bass track from this song, so just me on bass. I used a Fender Precision with some newly fitted Dimarzio Model P pickups which are extremely HOT and give the bass a very dirty sound - played through an Ampeg SVT (for even more dirtiness).
