From Rules to Reasoning: The Agentic Future of FinOps Governance

As AI agents autonomously ship code at unprecedented scale, traditional rules-based FinOps governance — reactive, brittle, and human-dependent — can no longer keep pace with the velocity, complexity, and volume of cloud infrastructure changes. In this session, Adam Richter (AWS) and Sonny Shi (Stacklet) explore how the FinOps practitioner role is evolving from manual data reconciliation toward strategic, agent-driven governance, where anomalies are automatically contextualized, optimization opportunities are proactively surfaced, and policies self-generate in response to new services.
