Vacation Day 5: Scenic Drive Zion Mount Carmel Highway and Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park

Welcome back to Hippie Bliss Travel. Today we are on our 5th day of vacation and our second day in Zion National Park. We started our day in Springfield with breakfast at Oscars Cafe. They had fantastic food to start the day. Would highly recommend. Then we traveled into Zion National Park, hoping to park at the visitor center and taking the free shuttle up Zion Canyon Scenic Drive but we didn't get to the parking lot until almost 10am and there was no parking. So instead we traveled driving the Zion-Mount Carmel Highway. Stopping multiple times to see the view or to hike a small trail. We traveled through a tunnel carved out and finished in 1930. After driving through Zion National Park we continued onto Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park about an hour away. There we got out and hiked the dunes. When we traveled back to town we stopped at Mail Street Cafe in Hurricane, Utah for a late lunch. It was also delicious and we highly recommend it. Come along and see some fantastic scenery. #hippieblisstravel #exploring #adventure #over50travel #travel #hiking #mountains #exploring #nationalparks #zionnationalpark
