Snorkelling a Suspiciously Clear Rice Field | Exploring Eastern Thailand EP2

After filming the deepwater rice fields in Episode 1, I continued south through eastern Thailand in search of wild Betta habitats, including areas where Betta siamorientalis is known to occur. But before reaching the final target, I explored a series of rice-field ditches, ponds, marshy edges, reservoirs and roadside rivers, each with its own fish community. Scientific names appear on screen throughout the film.
