Will they manage to get their licenses again? The failure rate for driving tests is higher than ever: in Berlin, nearly half of all candidates fail the theory test, and the same goes for the practical exam in Hamburg. It’s not a cheap endeavor: retaking the test can easily cost 400 euros or more – and that’s on top of total driving school costs, which can reach up to 3,000 euros for a car license.
