Perfectly Cooked Wild Rice
I am from Saskatchewan and have been eating wild rice my whole life. This is the way my mom taught me how to prepare it. We boil it only 45 minutes or so. Don't confuse wild rice with a different type of dark rice called Black Rice. The two are completely different. You will need: Wild rice Water A large pot A spoon But most of all a watchful eye and a timer! Because I feel the trick to perfect tasting wild rice is not to overcook it. Perfectly cooked wild rice makes a delicious addition to salads, side dishes, and soups. I show an example of how I add it to a salad and a soup at the end of the video. Enjoy! Thanks for watching!
