Yamoussoukro, capitale abandonnée de la Côte d'Ivoire • FRANCE 24
Thirty-five years ago, President Félix Houphouët-Boigny moved the capital of Côte d'Ivoire to his hometown: Yamoussoukro. Huge construction projects were launched to transform it into a modern city: an international airport, a polytechnic institute, a presidential palace, and also the largest Christian place of worship in the world! But the transfer of institutions never took place, and few Ivorians settled there. France 24 offers you an overview of this neglected capital. #Africa Subscribe to our YouTube channel: http://f24.my/youtube LIVE - Follow FRANCE 24 here: http://f24.my/YTliveFR Our website: http://www.france24.com/fr/ Join us on Facebook: / france24.videos Follow us on Twitter: / f24videos
