Horseshoe Bend, Page AZ Paddleboard Places

Horseshoe Bend is the ultimate kayak or paddle board trip. It's located near Page, AZ and its majestic rock walls and clear water is worth the trip! You need to schedule a backhaul boat to take you up river a week or 2 in advance. Then, on the day of your trip, you meet the backhaul boat at Lee's Ferry and they'll take you and your gear to the drop off point--either to the Glen Canyon Dam or Petroglyph Beach. The boat drops you off with your board and gear, and away you go. Don't forget your lifejacket because you can get a big fine if you don't have one. The Colorado River will push you along your way and is mostly mild throughout this trip, You'll see tons of fish from start to finish. We also saw a beaver, big horn sheep, lots of birds and wild horses. You'll love every part of this trip. It will amaze you with its beauty. And you can camp along the way if you want (or find one of the few hotels nearby as we did). Since this is a 5 - 8 hour ride, start early. We took the 6:45 AM boat and were on our way by 8:00. Be sure to bring plenty of food and water--you're going to need it. We brought 3 meals of food and a few gallons of water. You will love Horseshoe Bend.
