Co se chystá na Letišti Václava Havla – a proč to možná nestačí

Václav Havel Airport is in for big changes. But how will they affect the passengers themselves and help Prague Airport rank among the world's best? Prozradíme ve videu! What is going on at the Ruzyne airport? Proměna terminálů While today Terminal 1 is used for flights outside the Schengen Area and Terminal 2 for flights within Europe, in the future their roles will be reversed. In addition, two buildings will be added to Terminal 1. While the first of them will be used for business and VIP arrivals, and other lounges are planned, the second is still waiting for its purpose. The main motive behind the transformation of Terminal 1 is nature - so a lot of trees are expected in its surroundings. There will also be a building with a hotel and conference facilities or a parking garage. The new look of Terminal 2 is not yet known, however, expansion of the check-in hall, extensive renovation, construction of a new "finger" with 11 gates and overall modernization are expected here. Parking garages will be added here as well, the first of which could start construction as early as next year. The expansion of both terminals should take place between 2029 and 2033, but even this date is not yet certain. Expressway to the airport The launch of the high-speed railway will also be a significant undertaking for Prague Airport - according to all indications, its essential section should be completed around 2030. However, the stage from the Exhibition Center to Veleslavín, which is supposed to lead underground, will still be missing. For details on the construction of the expressway, see our recent video:    • Největší dopravní událost roku - nové nádr...   And what will the airport station look like? It should be underground, and escalators will lead the platforms to the individual terminals. Paralelní dráha Does Prague Airport need two runways? Today, the main railway operates here, supplemented by a secondary railway. In the case of the construction of a parallel runway, the secondary one would be cancelled. The parallel runway is also supposed to increase the safety of flying, contribute to greater peace in the surrounding municipalities and also to greater attractiveness for airlines. Apparently, however, the transformation of the airport will not bring about a fundamental increase in the number of connections, especially long-distance ones. On the one hand, today it transports around 18 million passengers per year (and in the future it is expected to increase to only 21.5 million), on the other hand, neighboring countries have or are planning airports with many times higher capacity, so the world's airlines are more likely to focus on them. The construction of a parallel track should cost 30 billion crowns, so of course its economic benefit is also being discussed. What do you think about the transformation of the Prague airport? And are you in favor of building a new railway, or would you rather invest the necessary funds in another project? This is the first time we are filming about the Prague airport. Would you think that it didn't exactly have a "rosy" past? See for yourself in the video:    • Pražské letiště: Pohnutá minulost a nejist...   What fate awaits the highway? While some are calling for its abolition, its supporters would prefer to see it in a modern guise. Jaké jsou možnosti? Watch:    • Magistrála: Zachovat, nebo zrušit?   Although there are not that many people who use trains to move around Prague, they definitely belong to the key infrastructure. And they also hide a number of interesting things and records:    • Vlakové rekordy: Kde se jezdí nejrychleji ...   And speaking of records - we didn't forget the bus ones either:    • Autobusové rekordy: Který je nejkratší a k...   Also follow us on social networks: FB (regularly new properties and information from the real estate market):   / realitnikancelarkotula   IG (what happens behind the scenes of filming and our work):   / kotula.daniel   Do you need help selling or renting a property?
