Water Filtration Trailer Falls After Landing Gear Breaks. We do trailer and container jobs here 24/7, but this was my first time doing one of these style trailers. The job came in the day before, but since it was at a refinery they needed tons of higher ups to clear the job first. We got the greenlight, and I rolled out with Hulk, my 50ton rotator, while Alex followed in our brand new 2024 tractor. This trailer was HEAVY. My load cell was showing north of 30,000lbs on just the front part I was lifting! Trailers do not have the same easy lift points like containers do, so I used my Miller spreader bar for a safe and controlled lift. The job was straight forward and easy (despite the weight), but the landing gear took a bit of work and cutting. Alex was able to retract it a bit, then I thought out of the box and used Hulk's outrigger to push it back under the trailer. This makes it safe for transport and we chain binded it so it wouldn't stick out while in transport back to a repair facility. Not one of my crazier rollover jobs, but still a fun one that took a bit of skill and thinking.
