The compartment space allows for future expansion along the life span of the apparatus. To ensure the ability of arriving to the scene quickly, the rig has a short wheelbase to maneuver the terrain of Prince Georges County, MD. It is important to the department to have easily accessible ground ladders, via the ladder compartment at the rear and the nested ladder storage compartment on the passenger side of the body.
