Hiking Scotland | Ayrshire Coastal Path, Stage 1: Glenapp to Ballantrae
This 9 mile hiking trail, the first stage of the Ayrshire Coastal Path begins in Glenapp in South Ayrshire, heading 9.74 miles north to Ballantrae. There are two options for this route, the first being straightforward on farm tracks and quiet country lanes. The other option is the coastal route, which takes you down steep cliffs and through fields of livestock including bulls. The path is well sign posted.
