This journey covers city traffic, a smooth expressway drive, toll plazas, scenic ghat roads, and finally entering Tamil Nadu before reaching Chennai. 🚗 Journey Overview We started our journey from Bangalore, traveling through Old Madras Road, which was heavily congested in the morning. We reached Hoskote around 10:00 AM, where we entered the NE-7 Expressway, also known as the Bengaluru–Chennai Expressway. This expressway is a modern, access-controlled highway designed for high-speed, signal-free travel. After entering NE-7, we stopped briefly for drone shots to capture the beautiful, wide, empty stretches of the expressway. 🛣️ NE-7 Expressway Drive (71 km Operational Section) The currently operational stretch of NE-7 is approximately 71 km, running from Hoskote to Bethamangala in Karnataka. 🚪 Major Entry & Exit Points Hoskote Interchange – Entry / Exit Malur Interchange – Exit Bangarpet / KGF Interchange – Exit Bethamangala Interchange – Exit (End of operational stretch) ⏱️ Time taken for 71 km: approx 45–50 minutes under normal conditions. This section offers: Smooth concrete roads Wide lanes FASTag-enabled toll plazas No traffic signals Controlled entry and exit points 💰 Toll Information We crossed the first toll plaza on the NE-7 Expressway after entry. FASTag is mandatory Approx car toll: ₹185–₹190 (one way) We also passed the Ramanathapuram Toll Plaza later in the journey. 🌄 Ghat Road & State Transition After exiting NE-7 at Bethamangala, we continued toward Venkatagiri Kota. The ghat road section is located in Andhra Pradesh, offering scenic curves and hill views. After crossing the ghat section, we entered Tamil Nadu, taking the Gudiyatham Bypass to avoid city traffic. 🍽️ Lunch Stop & Final Stretch We stopped for lunch at Kanchipuram, a perfect break before the final leg. Post lunch, we continued toward Chennai and finally reached Chennai at around 4:30 PM.
