Cross-country or Nordic skiing is the oldest form of skiing, but it didn't arrive at our resorts until well into the 20th century. To learn about the technique, characteristics, and differences from other skiing styles, we went to the Lles ski resort, located in Cerdanya, in the Lleida Pyrenees. One of the characteristics of cross-country or Nordic skiing is that the heel is free. The Lles ski resort has 25 km of cross-country ski trails (classic, skating, and inline skiing), 29 km of snowshoe trails, and some slopes and circuits dedicated to skijoring.
