Mercedes C-Class W204 - Electric Steering Lock (ESL) Removal – Part 1

In this first video, I show how to remove the Electric Steering Lock (ESL) on a Mercedes C-Class W204. ⚠️ Important: This video applies only if the ESL is in the open (unlocked) state. If the steering lock is fully locked, the removal process is different and will be covered separately. I also share a useful tip that may help in some cases — lightly tapping the steering lock housing to create vibration, which can sometimes help the locking bolt release if it’s sticking. This is not guaranteed, but it’s worth knowing before you start.
