Crisis de los misiles de Cuba

On October 16, 1962, no newspaper carried the news of the day on its front page. The news was communicated to Kennedy, with due secrecy, by McGeorge Bundy, his national security advisor. The previous Sunday, a U.S. Air Force pilot piloting a U-2 spy plane had flown over San Cristóbal, Pinar del Río province, Cuba. Upon returning to base, the film was developed and the images analyzed, and they concluded that a military installation had been built in the area, with launch pads for Soviet-made R-12 missiles carrying nuclear warheads capable of reaching and wiping out the White House and any other point in the United States. The flight of the U.S. spy plane had not been routine; it was flying on alert. The CIA had been warning Kennedy for months about the Soviet presence in Cuba, just 90 miles from U.S. soil. http://academiaplay.es/ | BUY OUR UNIVERSAL HISTORY BOOK | https://www.amazon.es/historia-nunca-... | BUY OUR SPANISH HISTORY BOOK | http://tiny.cc/9lfxdz | SUBSCRIBE | http://bit.ly/2cqyJpp | BECOME A CHANNEL MEMBER |    / @academiaplay   (rewards and benefits) | SPONSOR THE CHANNEL ON PATREON |   / academiaplay   (rewards and perks) BUY OUR EBOOK: https://goo.gl/gJf3TB Thanks to our Patreon supporters: Eva L.
