Eduardo Leite | Memórias do Piratini

Eduardo Leite, the first governor re-elected in the history of Rio Grande do Sul, with his first term between 2019 and 2022 and his second ending in 2026, is the tenth and final guest on Memórias do Piratini, a special program of Conversas Cruzadas hosted by communicator Andressa Xavier, a series of 10 interviews with the names that have passed through the Palácio Piratini in recent decades. Leite is one of the youngest names to assume the Executive branch of the State, taking office at Piratini at age 33. The law graduate is also the first openly gay governor in the history of Brazil. During the interview with communicator Andressa Xavier, he recalls his two electoral campaigns, the fiscal situation, and the two biggest crises faced by Rio Grande do Sul: the Covid-19 pandemic and the flood of May 2024.
