FIRST USE OF SOUTHERN PACIFIC NARROW GAUGE TURNTABLE SINCE REBUILDING

Today we turned a small Plymouth Diesel locomotive on the narrow gauge Southern Pacific turntable at Laws , Calif. The turntable was recently rebuilt by volunteers and this is its first use since then to turn something . It is known as an Armstrong turntable because there are no motors , just people to turn it. This is an excellent museum to visit . This is most of the remaining equipment of the narrow gauge Carson & Colorado and is 3 ' gauge .I got to spend the day there operating Death Valley railbus 5 and Plymouth diesel 12 . We also relocated the wig wag crossing signal .
