Their expedition and explorer type watch called Turas, which is a befiting name as it translates to journey or expedition in Irish. The 914 represents the xxxxx of the 1914 antarctic epxedition of the SS Endurance and the crews toughness and not giving up spirit as they were stuck in ice with the ship eventually sinking. Despite all odds, they managed to survive and after years of being left for dead, returned home. their Captains family moto "THROUGH ENDURANCE WE CONQUER. TOGETHER, WE MAKE PROGRESS." is engraved on the caseback. Sized at 39mm in diamater and just 11mm thick, it makes for a wonderful everyday wear watch that will fit almost every size wrist. The watch is powered by a regulated Sellita SW200 and the watch comes with a lifetime warranty IF you send the watch in for service every 5 years, something we don't see often! The bracelet is pretty much perfect as it features solid link, solid female end links, and a machined clasp with on the fly adjustment. The whole package is priced at $1.265 which is quite a lot for a simple time only microbrands, but given the regulation and unique warranty as well as really good build quality, I think it is justified, not to mention it is assembled in Belfast, instead of the more common China. As usual, stay tuned for the full review #nomadicturas #nomadicwatches #watchgeek I hope you enjoy the video :) To help the channel: PayPal donations: https://www.paypal.me/watchgeek Become a Patron: / watchgeek Patrons get to see videos before they premiere on YouTube as a reward for keeping the channel going :
