Orchestral Kirby - Ending Theme
Welcome to my sixth orchestration in the Orchestral Kirby series. This series is dedicated to Kirby's Adventure, the 1993 NES platform game by HAL. Today's theme (originally written by Hirokazu Ando & Jun Ishikawa) can be heard at the end of level 8 "Fountain of Dreams" after the final battle but before the end credits roll. The music presented here is an arrangement for piano and orchestra and features a prominent role for the harp. I expanded the buildup at the beginning with woodwinds strings and some tubular bells and extended the outro with a piano flourish. (And, for fun's sake, I made sure that the counter melody, played by the french horn, ends in a quote of the openings motive of Schoenberg's "die Gurrelieder.") I hope you enjoy the music here and the animation I made to go with it. You can find out more about my music and find high-quality audio downloads at: https://ronaldvanderham.bandcamp.com/ Thanks for tuning in.
