Arriving to work in a tannery, the father discovers a country whose language he doesn't speak, armed only with a dictionary. His daughter, born in Angers, grows up immersed in Turkish, memories of her Anatolian village, and French culture. Through food, travel, and family albums, a multifaceted identity is forged, nourished by tradition and memory. Now a printmaker, she transforms this heritage into creative material. Blending traditional techniques with tools imported from Turkey, her works tell stories of exile, lineage, and dual belonging. Her journey explores questions of first names, naturalization, and the place of children of immigrants in French society. Being from here and there becomes a strength, a source of balance, a richness embraced.
