The Focus of the Family [Book of Colossians]

We will explore what our focus should be in the home and the workplace (Colossians 3:15–4:1; Ephesians 5:18–6:9). In both Colossians and Ephesians, Paul teaches that a life governed by the Spirit and the Word will be demonstrated in the way believers relate to one another, beginning in the home. The reality of being made new in Christ should be reflected in the relationship between husbands and wives (Colossians 3:18–19; Ephesians 5:22–33). If you are filled with the Spirit, your spouse should know it. Today, we will consider God's specific instruction for wives. Regardless of your marital status, these principles provide valuable insight into God's design for relationships and the character of Christ in everyday life. “Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.” — Colossians 3:17 Pastor David K.
