Healing Instrumental Music | Live Violin & Guitar Improvisation

This live instrumental session was recorded during a short break in a very stormy period in Southwest Portugal. After days of heavy rain, I felt a sense of expansion while playing. Expansion comes after contraction. This session is a reminder for the grey days — and a reminder of why I chose to live close to nature. This path can be challenging at times, but the essence is learning from natural processes, getting inspired and transforming them into music. The transformation is the part of magic- “magic” in the sense that I don’t really know what happens there, yet something deep unfolds.. When the surroundings feel right, I don’t need to know — it becomes pure expression of daily life and practice. I believe that the sounds carry this information. Starting a one-hour-plus session without knowing where it will go can sometimes be overwhelming, but when I’m present and remember it's all in the way I live and move- I trust the music to flow and to reach you.
