Physio-Control LIFEPAK 9P Shock Advisory Adapter
The Shock Advisory Adapter was the first effort by Physio to bring AEDs into the modern hospital, this device allowed the use of disposable Fast-Patch or Quik-Combo electrodes (Quik-Combo model shown here) to analyze an ECG and deliver a shock hands free using a LIFEPAK 9 Series Monitor/Defibrillator. This specific model of SAA was designed specifically for the LP9P to allow transcutaneous pacing through Quik-Combo electrode pads in addition to shock advisory and hands free defibrillation. The defibrillator will charge and shock at 200 Joules twice then automatically escalates to 360 Joules for the third shock. The adapter interfaces with the CRT and Audio control circuits through the therapy connector in order to display visual prompts and sound audio alerts. The SAA also features motion detection and leads off detection. Join our Discord! / discord
