On-board Flybe BE6050 from London Southend to Caen, France on Friday 12th June 2015. PLEASE READ: I was fortunate enough to be invited out to the famous Le Mans festival race in June - I was travelling alone so tried to find the most interesting way to get there. This Flybe ATR-72 to Caen from London Southend operated by Stobart Air was £60. I would then catch a bus & train to Le Mans for Friday afternoon where the festival was kicking off! Once boarded, we made a relatively quick taxi to runway 06 where we departed on our scheduled time with a 50 minute flight to Northern France ahead of us. Once airborne we quickly left the English coast, avoiding a few rain showers along the way. Before long we started our descent into a cloudy Caen where we landed on schedule. Flybe were very impressive on this short sector - pleased I picked them over Ryanair!
