Guilherme Derrite comenta sobre classificação de CV e PCC como terroristas

Brazilian Congressman Guilherme Derrite, former Secretary of Public Security of São Paulo, stated that the United States' decision to classify the PCC and Comando Vermelho as terrorist organizations represents an opportunity to strengthen the fight against organized crime in Brazil. During an interview with Jornal Gente, Derrite advocated for greater international cooperation in intelligence and investigation, with the participation of agencies such as the FBI, CIA, and DEA. According to him, the measure could expand sanctions against members of the factions and institutions involved in money laundering. The congressman also criticized the federal government, stating that there is a lack of political priority in confronting organized crime. Derrite advocated for a national plan to combat the factions, with increased border control, stricter penal legislation, and a review of judicial decisions that, according to him, contribute to the feeling of impunity. In the interview, the congressman cited the PCC's international activities, especially its partnership with the Italian criminal organization 'Ndrangheta for drug distribution in Europe, as well as its historical links with Mexican cartels and the FARC.
