The San Gabriel Mountains hold many of L.A.'s best trails and adventures in its canyons and peaks. Mount Baldy Road dead ends right into Ice House Canyon's parking lot, with ample parking spaces. Make sure to bring an Adventure Pass and fill out a free day permit, so the forestry department knows where you are for safety. This hiking video experience is for seasoned hikers with longer distance endurance, it’s a 10.9 mile journey uphill with switchbacks and rock scrambling through out, with a 3,700 foot elevation gain, be prepared, know your limits. We recommend sturdy hiking boots with ankle support, not trail runners. This Cucamonga Wilderness hike focuses on the trail to the mountain peaks with endless views at the top.
