*NEW* Avanti West Coast Livery Class 221 Super Voyager 221115 at Watford Junction 30/01/2021

Whilst waiting for my train back into Central London, I was surprised to have seen 221115 outshopped in its new AWC livery, which is based on the same “outgoing” livery model adopted by West Midlands Trains and East Midlands Railway. The unit, along with 221117 at the rear, was working 1B53 Wolverhampton - Euston service. Despite ongoing plans to replace the units with Class 805s and Class 807s built by Hitachi in 2022/23, the units have recently completed an internal refurbishment program at Bombardier Ilford, which I will need to check out once non-essential travel is once again permitted.
