Motorista perde parte do pé e tem benefício negado pelo INSS no DF | Balanço Geral DF

José Francisco de Lima, 50, saw his routine completely change after suffering a workplace accident that resulted in the amputation of part of his foot. A bus driver for over 12 years and resident of Samambaia Norte (DF), he recounts that he stepped on a rusty nail in the garage of the company where he worked during the Christmas period. Complications aggravated by diabetes led to surgery and permanent leave from work. Today, José depends on a wheelchair and walker to get around and faces financial difficulties while trying to obtain disability benefits. According to him, even presenting medical reports indicating permanent work incapacity and disability status, the INSS (Brazilian National Social Security Institute) denied his request. Without a fixed income, the driver says he relies on help from family members and basic food baskets provided by his union. In addition to physical recovery, José faces obstacles to leaving his house due to the lack of infrastructure on the street where he lives. In a statement, the INSS (Brazilian National Social Security Institute) informed that the last benefit was granted based on document analysis and terminated after the expected deadline, advising the insured person to submit a new request with updated medical documentation. While seeking to reverse the decision, José hopes to regain some autonomy and reorganize his life. #RECORD #RecordBrasília
