Faire un moule fermé avec de la pâte de silicone - TECHNIQUE

In this video, I explain how I made a mold with silicone rubber to cast a 3D object and then pour clear resin into it. Why make a silicone mold? First, they're reusable, so you can make multiple castings in them, but they can also be used to mold polymer clay items endlessly! The second reason is that silicone is flexible, so demolding is much easier than with a hard plaster mold, for example. My third reason is that silicone is smooth, non-porous, and doesn't stick to other materials. You can mold almost any material in it without worrying about it sticking to the mold. Silicone molding is very popular today, and there are several ways to make a silicone mold. I wanted to try making a mold using silicone molding clay, but I wanted to make a closed mold, meaning a two-part mold. This isn't the easiest way to make a closed mold. We prefer the pouring method. But since I didn't have liquid silicone, I wanted to try making my own mold with silicone paste. I'm taking you with me on this journey; it's only by trying that you learn and move forward! I used RESCHMICA's SIL HAND silicone paste. You can find it on Amazon. I struggled a bit, but you learned a lot about this paste. And especially since you can rework the molds (even failed ones) afterward, which is really great! © Virginie Gribouilli Facebook page:   / gribouillisisland   Instagram:   / virginiegribouilli   Website: http://www.gribouillivirginie.com/
