"3500" originated during Kanye West's Yeezus II sessions, under the title of "Been Trill" and possibly featuring Drake, according to Kanye's ex-DJ and producer Mano. The song's title and artwork was revealed on June 5, 2015, with Mike Dean hinting it was soon to come in a few days.
