The aforementioned article reads as follows: "Art. 149-A. To recruit, entice, recruit, transport, transfer, purchase, house, or harbor a person, through serious threat, violence, coercion, fraud, or abuse, for the purpose of: I - removing organs, tissues, or body parts; II - subjecting the person to labor in conditions analogous to slavery; III - subjecting the person to any type of servitude; IV - illegal adoption; or V - sexual exploitation. Penalty - imprisonment for 4 (four) to 8 (eight) years and a fine. § 1. The penalty is increased by one-third to one-half if: I - the crime is committed by a public official in the performance of their duties or under the pretext of performing them; II - the crime is committed against a child, adolescent, or elderly or disabled person; III - the perpetrator takes advantage of kinship, domestic, cohabitation, hospitality, or economic dependence relationships, of authority or hierarchical superiority inherent in the exercise of employment, position, or function; or IV - the victim of human trafficking is removed from the national territory. § 2. The sentence is reduced by one to two-thirds if the perpetrator is a first-time offender and is not part of a criminal organization. Let's go together!!!
