The Stranglers - Hanging Around | Reaction!

This was the best of both worlds for me. The track has a visceral sound, but Greenfield's organ, Cornwell's guitar solo, and Black's busy drumming lightens the mood a bit. Burnel's bass is beautifully filthy, which matches Cornwell's throaty vocals. The lyrics paint an easily imaginable picture. It's easy to imagine because the characters were real people the band saw hanging arooound.
