Only 20 minutes drive from the Keflavík Airport is the famous Blue Lagoon, where you can soak in its milky blue geothermal waters. It is said the silica, algae, and minerals in the warm lagoon has healing properties. Remember to book your spot in advance. Afterwards we bite into Icelandic cuisine, drive about 45 minutes to Reykjavík, check into the capsule hostel, and enjoy some more Icelandic food. The best way to get around Iceland is by renting a vehicle as it allows flexibility and public transportation is scarce in the countryside. There is no Uber or Lyft, so other options include taking the Flybus or taxi. A four-seater taxi ride from Keflavík International Airport to central Reykjavík is around $115 US (according to Iceland Mag). You can also use tour company services.
