This coming-of-age fantasy drama explores the lives of young Black men affected by London’s knife crime epidemic. The film follows a young man journeying through a surreal realm between life and death, as he confronts his trauma with the guidance of others who share his fate. Wright describes Highway to the Moon as a “love letter” to young Black men — a story that seeks to inspire healing, hope, and meaningful conversation around systemic issues, while celebrating themes of brotherhood, unity, and forgiveness.
