The Secret Weapon of Major Studios | AKG c460/ck1 mic review | Gear I Use

Gear I Use is a review series dedicated to pieces of gear I have used in real professional productions. Today we look at the AKG c460/ck1 condenser microphone/capsule combo. This small diaphragm condenser is music studio secret weapon, renowned for it's ability to deliver bright yet smooth High Hats and Ride Cymbals. I used this microphone in the production of the Gill Brothers Band "Hell or Highway" Live studio session, available on this channel as part of the Fence Sesh series. As part of this review, we will solo certain tracks from that production to give you a better idea of how this mic works in a real professional workflow.
