BARRAMUNDI FISHING IN A HUGE SUMMER STORM

In this weeks episode we had been struggling to get out due to wind, wild hail storms, and having crazy big tides and dirty water in the local creeks due to rain and a full moon, so we decide to go and have a look up at our local impoundment - Teemburra dam. We got to the dam late in the afternoon as a big storm was brewing up and when this happens, topwater is hands down the most exciting way to fish this place. We spent the late afternoon fishing shallow bays where the weed towers come out of 2-3m of water and almost reach the surface which is prime hunting ground in the low light hours for big Barra. This is a very addictive fishing style, the fish are very healthy and the dam itself is as scenic as an impoundment can get. I generally leave the impoundment stuff for the closed Barra season but after this session its got me itching to get back up there asap! Enjoy!
